Allow your passion to become your purpose, and it will one day become your profession.”

In 2014, Nicole Rojas began volunteering with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and the Tusk Task Force to advocate for legislation in Illinois aimed at banning the sale and trade of elephant ivory and rhino horn. After three years of advocacy and meetings with legislators, the bill was passed. Shortly thereafter, Nicole assisted HSUS at the state level to enact comprehensive legislation banning the sale and trade of wildlife parts from all endangered species in perpetuity in Illinois.

Nicole founded Wild For Change in 2018 intending to raise awareness about nature’s intrinsic value and our essential connection to the natural world. The mission of Wild For Change is to inspire efforts to preserve and protect nature and animals.

Wild For Change’s work includes advocating for legislation that supports animals and nature at both the state and federal levels, increasing awareness through social media, and highlighting individuals and organizations that positively impact animals and nature worldwide through the Wild For Change podcast.

Wild For Change envisions a world where all animals and nature are valued and respected, with a global understanding of nature's role in our lives, thereby generating new collective strategies to protect and preserve our greatest asset: planet Earth.
