Promoting Wildlife Protection and Conservation

Global Conservation Force is dedicated to saving wildlife from extinction through education, anti-poaching, and conservation efforts.

Global Conservation Force focuses on training rangers to protect wildlife, raises awareness and providing education of the importance of wildlife, provides on the ground action where staff work in regions such as Africa and Asia to gain insight to the problems that the wildlife are facing, and collaborates and forms partnerships with other organizations in Africa and Asia to help protect critical wildlife.

ConservCongo is a non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve the biodivserity of wildlife in the Congo basin of the Democratic Republic of Congo.  The organization was founded in 2014 by Adams Cassinga, a wildlife criminal investigator.  ConservCongo’s field of work includes investigating trafficking networks, collaborating with authorities in arresting traffickers, community education of existing wildlife laws, rescue of wildlife, and rehabilitation of wildlife in their natural habitat, and utilizing agriculture/farming as an option to poaching/wildlife trafficking which aides in ensuring food security.

Orphaned Wildlife

Due to wildlife poaching and trafficking, many orphaned elephants, rhinos, and giraffes are left defenseless and unable to survive in the wild on their own.  However, organizations like the Reteti Conservation and the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust take in these orphaned babies and care for them until they are able to be re-integrated back into the wild.

Game Rangers and the Fight against Wildlife Poaching/Trafficking

Game Rangers are boots on the ground, risking their lives to protect the wildlife. Their training and support through the International Anti-Poaching Foundation is imperative to stop poaching and trafficking.  Not only does the International Anti-Poaching Foundation help with training game rangers, it also focuses on wildlife protection and conservation.

Ocean and Marine Life Conservation

Healthy oceans means a healthy planet.  It is estimated that 50-80% of the earth’s oxygen comes from the oceans.   But with more plastic ending up in our oceans, oil spills, overfishing, and degradation of marine life and ecosystems, our oceans are in trouble.  Fortunately, there are organizations like the ones listed below that are working tirelessly to protect and restore the health of our oceans and marine life.

Nature Conservation

Nature provides us with food, water, beauty, livelihoods, and helps maintain a natural balance to safeguard against climate change.  These organizations help raise awareness of why it is important to conserve our greatest inheritance and work towards sustainability, reforestation, and conservation.

Climate Change

Change in our climate is affecting the planet and is disrupting the natural balance of ecosystems that we rely on.  One example is how the earth’s ice caps which act like a built-in coolant for the earth to absorb the effects of radiation from the sun are now melting. This gives rise to warmer global temperatures.  Each of these non-profits are creating innovative solutions to reverse climate change to improve the health of the planet.

Performing Animals

These organizations have stood up to be a voice for wildlife that have been taken away from their family only to endure being mistreated, abused, and exploited for entertainment purposes whether in a traveling or roadside circus in the United States or on the streets of India.
Animals used in the entertainment industry are generally wildlife that are meant to live in the wild and were forced to live in isolated, harsh conditions unnatural to their real home in the wild.  These animals are meant to live freely as we all want and deserve.

Wildlife and Habitat Conservation

These organizations have the far-seeing vision to protect vulnerable wildlife and the habitats they need in order to survive.  Globally, wildlife are losing their natural habitats due to human expansion, habitat fragmentation, and climate change.  We have to be mindful the wildlife live on this earth and need space to exist and thrive as well. These game changers are helping make the necessary changes to do just that.

Innovative Solutions for Sustainability and Supporting Nature

Listed below are the visionaries who are leading the way in how we can learn and imitate nature to help find solutions to problems we face in today’s world.  Whether it is uncovering ways to clean polluted water to monitoring climate change and protecting endangered wildlife via unmanned aircraft systems that are fully electric, we have the evidence that nature provides us with all the answers we need to thrive and be sustainable.

Farm Animal Sanctuaries

Farm animals do not get a chance to live a life of freedom.  Instead, many are subjected to breeding and never being able to care for their babies, live in crates where they cannot even turn, and face the harsh reality of going to slaughter.  Approximately 80 billion land animals die globally each year for food.  But it doesn’t have to be this way.  Fortunately, farm sanctuaries like the Farm Sanctuary and The Gentle Barn are paving the way for farm animals to get a second chance at life and to learn what being loved means.
